ISEE practice test
A short, timed practice test in the format of the ISEE, with the same four multiple-choice sections in the same order. It shows how your child handles each kind of question under time pressure.
The ISEE level follows the grade the student is applying to, not the grade they are in now.
Work alone, without a calculator. Within a section you can move back and forth and change answers. When a section's time runs out it closes, and any blank question counts as wrong. The real ISEE also has an unscored 30-minute essay, which is not part of this practice.

Real ISEE scores are reported as a scaled score, a percentile and a stanine from 1 to 9, comparing the student with others applying to the same grade. The bands here are rough guides from five questions per section, not a prediction of an official score. Questions are written by Ivy Academy teachers; Ivy Academy is not affiliated with ERB.

Look at the pattern across sections. A gap between Quantitative Reasoning and Mathematics Achievement usually means the student knows the math taught at school but needs practice applying it to unfamiliar problems — or the reverse. A low Verbal score is usually vocabulary, which takes the longest to build, so start early.
Ivy Academy teachers can give a full-length practice test, go through every section with you, and plan ISEE or SSAT preparation for the schools on your list.
